Taylor Swift’s “1989” tour is officially one for the record books — and she has the banner to prove it.

The “Shake It Off” singer kicked off the first of her five sold-out shows at Los Angeles’ Staples Center Friday night, and during the show received a surprise from special guest Kobe Bryant.

The Los Angeles Lakers star shocked Swift when he revealed a banner in the rafters honoring her for having 16 sold-out shows at the Staples Center, the most in the venue’s history.

“Sixteen is a very special number here in Los Angeles because 16 is the same amount of championships that we have as a Lakers franchise,” Bryant told the audience, according to Entertainment Tonight.

“To celebrate those championships, we do something very special. We hang banners. That’s what we do.”

Swift was floored by the banner’s reveal during her show, and also shared her reaction on Instagram.

“The banners up at Staples Center right now because WHAT IS LIFE EVEN,” she captioned a photo showing her banner alongside the Lakers’ banners.

Bryant wasn’t Swift’s only special guest: she was also joined by One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder for a duet on her track “Counting Stars.”

Prior to kicking off her run of Los Angeles shows, Swift shared a throwback photo from one of her earliest gigs to marvel at how far she has come in her career.

“Getting ready to play 5 shows at Staples Center in LA this week and reminiscing about what my gigs used to be like,” Swift captioned the photo.

Swift’s second of five shows at the Staples Center takes place Saturday.
